For women, I find that very empowering and very courageous because I mean from way back then women were taught to have this long hair especially all the magazines and social media have always taught us “This is the way your hair should look.” So when you go against something like that, everyone thinks it’s wrong even though it’s just a personal preference. Nothing’s wrong or right. A lot of people in school just didn’t get who I was. So through my experimental phases with my hair, it did bring on some negative attention.

So I definitely feel that hair is very powerful and that’s probably why I became a stylist is because I wanted to help people feel good about themselves... it’s always changing and always growing. That’s why I keep a job. So yeah I love hair.
