Japan: it’s all in the details
As I was planning my first trip to Japan, I started to plan my second. No kidding. That is how much there is to see and do. Knowing I could not do it all, I concentrated on Tokyo and Kyoto this time around. I have returned and here are a few photographs from my vacation. Japan is all about the little details ... and taking the time to take it all in ... from the hair ties provided at the smallest ramen noodles place at the train station, the groups of girls walking in unison, the details in the architecture, to the perfectly laid out shoes with laces pointed in the same direction. Someone cares enough to do these small things and that makes all the difference. Nothing is by accident.
